BIO

 

Andrew Classen is an Artist and musician based in Toronto but originally from LA. 

In 2012 he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Interdisciplinary Degree from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. He has received the Marion McCain Scholarship and was also awarded with the Lorraine Monk Arts award for photography. 

Andrew has worked as art director and set designer for productions such as Theatre of the Beat's "A Bicycle Built for Two" produced for the Fringe Festival.  

He has also exhibited works in the Anna Leonowen's gallery, Cooper Union, and the Gladstone in his current residence, Toronto, Ontario.  Ranging across a number of mediums and disciplines including photography, film, video and paint, he also periodically teaches painting and drawing classes at Walnut Studios in downtown Toronto.  


Andrew plays lead guitar for the psychedelic rock band The Blue Lights and also is the Bass player for Cherry Hooker, lead by local fashion icon Madge Colleran.
