The MCAP project was implemented by myself and fellow colleagues at the Nova Scotia college of Art and Design to improve accessibility for marginalized youth participating in community arts related programs and workshops. The prototype for this project, a U-haul converted into a multidisciplinary and morphable studio space was first tested on on YouthNet in 2009. This non profit community organized event included a successful and engaging workshop that included such skills as learning to use a pottery wheel.

ShelterCart is a prototype developed by myself and fellow colleges at NSCAD that utilizes a standard size shopping cart in order to create a temporary shelter for emergency weather conditions for homeless individuals. Using a durable form of insulation this device would be handed out in a compact case that could be easily and quickly assembled. The design is not only functional for keeping the user warm and dry being above ground but also intended to allow the user to take their shelter with them if need be.
